I don't want to waste your time, but I'm just getting back into model railroading after a delay of 40+ years to raise a family. I've downloaded DCC++-EX and have started trying to understand it. Then came across the mention of EX-RAIL, which seems, from its description, to be more user friendly for setting up turnouts, etc. I've been looking at arduino and servo shields but unfortunately, I have not been able to find a sketch that incorporates the servo shield, switches to move the servo, and led's to show the turnout position. I understand DCC++ EX has that capability, but, so far, I have been unable to find instructions on how to add that capability. Although not a programmer, I worked for 30 years in operations defining requirements for a variety of processes before turning over to a programmer to code, so I am somewhat familiar with the coding process. All that to say, any idea when EX-RAIL will be available to the unwashed public for testing/implementing.? Also, I would be interested in beta testing if you think a novice would be capable of understanding and implementing the program. Thank you for your time, and good fortune with continued development supporting model railroading.

Don't worry it's not a waste of time .. and you'll be glad to know that exrail is available now (even to the great unwashed) if you download the latest master branch from our github repo.
