Title: Problem with a specific Massoth Controller

Description: We have several installations of EX-CommandStation (with different HW configurations) that all work fine and we operate different locomotives with different DCC Controllers. Only with one locomotive with a Massoth Controller we have a specific problem. When we use this locomotive it interrupts/restarts always after about 38sec. It just stops (suddenly) and then it automatically starts normal again and drives further (until the same happens again after 38sec). I would have no problem to blame the Massoth Controller as broken, but the strange thing is that this locomotive has no problems on any other DCC product and we even have an EX-CommandStation were this locomotive works without problem. I have rebuild the exact same HW configuration of the working EX-Command station but I found the same problem as described above. I have tried different versions of ESCommandstation Software from 3.00 up to the newest version all with the same problem. The DCC controller is a Moassoth XLS-Onboard Sounddecoder with newest software on it. It looks like a timming issue or some signal all 38sec the DCC Controller crashes ... Any idea from your side? My last explanation is that maybe the working version for this locomotive we have is an even older version then 3.0.0 of your software ... (I still need to find this out), but I dont find older versions of your software to download. Decoders, right?

Can you find out the version? It is displayed at startup. I want the whole line that contains the version info.

That was very odd but at least we know how to replicate it (wait for 38 sec).

Things to try

  1. Does it happen when you configure the CS for 28 speed steps? <D SPEED28>

  2. Does it happen for long and short addresses?

I don't have any Massoth decoders (too big for my small trains and my big trains have ESP32s in them, not DCC decoders)

I very much suspect a Massoth firmware issue. Have you had contact with Massoth support? If nothing else helps I can talk to them (in German).

Regards, Harald.
