I just tried to change the config.h to include my display. Tried to save it and it said “access denied” am I going to have to go in and change settings every time I want to download to my Arduino?

Dave

PS.

Tried using your server but I have no clue what your looking for as a password. Tried a bunch of things but none of them seemed to be good enough. Gave up. You should tell people what they need to include to satisfy the requirements… or just let us choose our own. Just a thought.

I will guess at your issue. Uncertain what you are trying to do. 1.. EX-Installer has been broken and work is progressing to get it working. It is possible yours still works if you have not used the refresh/update function.

  1. When using EX-Installer, there is an option to save the files which were customized when using EX-Installer. You would save these files in a personal folder. You can edit in the personal folder. You should not edit files in folders belonging to EX-Installer.
  2. If using the Arduino IDE install method, your extracted CommandStation-EX folder should be in the SketchBook location as defined in File-Preferences.
  3. Are you asking about the DCC-EX password to your command station when using WiFi? https://dcc-ex.com/ex-commandstation/get-started/testing.html#using-engine-driver-android .. if you have not customized it, the 6 digits will be seen in the SSID, and you use them with PASS_ SSID (Network name): DCCEX_xxxxxx where the x’s are the last 6 digits of your device’ MAC address (unique to each device) Password: PASS_xxxxxx where the x’s are the last 6 digits of your device’ MAC address (same as above)
