Title: DFPlayer mp3 mini sound module with EX-Fastclock
Description: Mega with Geekrobot motor shield, no WiFi, current production release installed with Arduino IDE and no throttle( using EXRAIL program Automation to move locos). Setting up a UK signal box and wishing to use the sound module to emulate to bell codes. Serial Monitor displays sound card is recognised but not responding. Is this a known problem? Can you replicate it?
If you are still on v4.0 release. Please upgrade to the latest DCC-EX Master v5.n release
After the system boots up
Try resetting the DFPlayer on the HAL I2C bus
On the serial command line Send commands
verify acquired DFPLayer vpin#
Then try playing your sound
IF you still have issues.
