some chant suggestions don't autofill #1554

Another zombie issue (though I can't find the original place where something very similar was discussed...) After creating a chant with ID g00709, we get three suggestions in the sidebar:

The first of these, g00709a, doesn't autofill anything. The other two work just fine. Other suggested IDs ending in a seem to work fine, too. Strange...

ah, I'm thinking of #998-- but in that case there were dots involved, and that's not the case here. Not sure what's going on.
