One of the things I've been thinking about doing is if there are twice as many "attackers" in a zone than "defenders" then the zone ownership would change
This is one thing i hate about DUWS and thought about rewriting, because you can capture zone easily - just enter n*X friendly units and you're done.
I believe this is due to an enemy still being in the area but I can't confirm that yet
Not sure how that's done in kibot's version, but in bigshot you can just enter bigger amount of friendly units than enemy and zone will be captured. You still need to clean zone to place fob...
What I think is you should KISS (keep it silly simple) How I see it is like this: To capture the zone your forces must be 75% of the units (individual bodies including ones in vehicles) in the zone. So if you have 3 units and the enemy has 1 you will capture the zone. If you have 10 and the enemy has 3 you will not capture. If that seems unreasonable then just tweak it down a little maybe 70%. You should be able to build the FOB as long as the zone is green and there are no enemies within 500m (or 350m or 250m ?).
Capturing a zone can be frustrating since it can seem that you have the zone under control but the mission never awards it. I believe this is due to an enemy still being in the area but I can't confirm that yet. We will need to figure out a good mechanism to make this a better experience all around.
One of the things I've been thinking about doing is if there are twice as many "attackers" in a zone than "defenders" then the zone ownership would change. The other thing I need to research is how this was done in the mission by BigShot. Basically I want to get something in place that is still 'fun' without being too easy.
