Getting Started

Configuration

The following environment variables can be set in a .env file or on the command line. An example with all default values is listed below.

PORT=3001
DATABASE_URI="mongodb://localhost:27017/defaultinator"
ROOT_KEY=

Development

cd api
npm install
npm run dev

Testing

npm test

For coverage run:

npm run coverage

Data generation

The first dataset is scraped. The scrapers directory is admittedly a bit of a mess.

Find the directions for running the scraper inside that folder. This is still a manual process and will probably be eliminated in the future.
