The LightZombie Project kept the LightZone photo editor software usable through open-source updates. It's no longer relevant, as LightZone has been released to Open Source.

dcraw is way out of date #1

The dcraw version in LightZone 3.9 is version 8.99, from Christmas Day, 2009. Many camera models have been released since then, but LZ is unable to process their Raw files.

Source changes have been identified and incorporated. These may not be all of the required changes, but they seem to make dcraw operational with LightZone 3.9, at least on Windows. A separate branch for "stock" dcraw.c code allows for quick modification of future dcraw updates via a simple git merge.

A Windows build (dcraw.exe) is available in the Unstable branch. This should be treated as being somewhere between 'alpha' and 'beta' quality. But we've got to start somewhere...

Mac and Linux builds will require that Mac and Linux software developers step forward to do the builds and check them out.

We still need a Linux developer for testing and on-going maintenance of the Linux version.

And we definitely need a Mac developer.

Closing this issue. Any problem with the dcraw builds should be entered as new issues.
