flex-column layout doesn't "collapse" properly

I noticed when playing with window widths and looking at the site on my phone that when the screen gets narrow the columns become very squashed up. Contrast this with the social media links, that transition nicely to a single stacked column.

So we need to use a different CSS class here to get that behaviour.
