As described in the title, the mirror produces a horrible audio output. For reference, I am using:

I have tried to mess around with all the different options regarding the audio, without success. I hope someone here is able to help me to get it to work.

what do you mean by "low quality audio"? mirror mode audio is AAC-ELD (not ALAC)

what is the virtualbox environment running in? If its Windows, you can build UxPlay on windows too, to compare.

The audio sounds like it drops lots of packets, stuttering and stuff

fduncanh commented 5 months ago

That is not normal. You need to give more information. You are watching a video in mirror mode? you are running virtual box on what OS, on what kind of computer?

Fallcrim commented 5 months ago

I am running virtual box on a Windows 10 Home machine. The video I watched was a youtube video I played on my iPad Air.

If possible, install UxPlay on Windows (in the MSYS2 unix-like environment), and compare its performance with that of the Virtualbox installation

Did that and in fact everything worked flawlessly with standard audio
