OS: Ubuntu 21.10 Uxplay version: UxPlay 1.44 Avahi-Deamon version: avahi-daemon 0.8 Avahi-Deamon service status: active (running)

do I need to have some sort of wi-fi adpter ?

I've tried another AirPlay server and the server couldn't get detected on the iOS device, so I think the issue is not related to UxPlay

OK not a uxplay issue

uxplay starts and avahi-browse shows it has registered the uxplay service
- next step: client sees service and asks to connect: doesn't happen This seems to be a network issue.

@giacomoarienti check if there is some setting on iPhone to block AirPlay. If it is a device from an employer, it may have MDM restrictions as was the case in #33

@giacomoarienti This is probably too late but it might help someone else with the same issue scrolling around and save him from the same headache I went through. If you're running your linux on a vm, you have to change your network settings on virtualbox. At least for me, when I changed the Attached To option to Bridged Adapter, it started working for me.
