The problems might be because I have pyfesom2 in dependencies, installing it's dependencies from pip is not the best idea...
If you need anything specific to make it work better with esm-tools better just let me know - it's still in the early stage, so making changes is very easy.

looks super! I think this will be really useful, and I might have one of the esm-tools guys add it on to the default post processing.
I added a bit that shows the user how to do a pip install from git. Also note that the "preliminaries" are installed automatically, but I ran into proj problems and had to make a clean conda environment, but then everything installed.
