Should the App Modes tablist contain an additional visual cue to indiciate its selected tab?

The selected tab does contain two visual methods of identifying its selected state: 1) The colour of the text 2) The colour of the background. This may not be entirely obvious still to some people with moderately low vision or colour impairments.

Should an additional visual indicator be used for the selected state to show that it is selected alongside the colour changes? Such a change of border shape, an icon, bold font, patterned background, etc.

@anevins12 This is an interesting point. You suggest three possibilities. My inclination would be some sort of outline that differs from the focus outline. What do you think?
