Lava Doesn't Flow Properly #72

Open Pecant-Pie opened 4 years ago

Pecant-Pie commented 4 years ago

I am exploring the Extended Vanilla Amplified dimension, and a lava lake I found underground does not respond to block updates. That is, when I mine a block under or next to a source block, it will not flow in that direction. I uploaded a screenshot to google drive for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hhXne6uuM2KLVCj9THpYwYpExgMdzuon/view?usp=sharing

Could possibly be a desync? Or lag? Does it persist after a relog?

Pecant-Pie commented 4 years ago

It does persist after a relog, and the tps is at a solid 20.00

I have had similar issues with water. Removing a flowing source block will often leave behind pieces of flowing water. No clue what could be causing these issues though.

This also happens with Biome Bundle, specifically I am in a LargeCave1 structure, and while the lava does move, the water is stationary, and will not move, nor will it update. Nothing I can do will cause it to update. This includes placing blocks beside it, removing an infinity pool sourceblock, it will not refill. I even tried placing a block mid fall of a waterfall, and nothing happened. It simply replaced the flowing water with the block, and it wont update the other water above it to "flow" around.

In the photo below, you can see both the pool of water below and the flowing water above are not updating.

Wait I just noticed. @Pecant-Pie, "Extended Vanilla Amplified"? Do you mean Vanilla Vistas Amplified?

Just to update, this actually happened with a block of lava in the overworld for me the other day. I forgot to screenshot it. It may have been related to a tps spike, which may have skipped the fluid update. I am not too sure what happened. So, it may not be directly related to OTG.
