Widescreen WON-style splashes for Half-Life + Expansions #1236

Since it doesn't really come with any assets of its own, I thought I'd throw together some widescreen-friendly version of the classic menu backgrounds (a mix of AI image-extension and Photoshop). Perhaps these could be included in the extras.pk3 for each respective game?

Woah, these looks really cool!

Currently, extras.pak/pk3 mechanism don't have a way for overriding graphics for different games in one archives, but I'll leave this issue open in case if somebody will implement and add them it.

Can we write Half-Life and the mod name as title? Like: Half-Life: Blue shift Decay Opposing force

In the WON versions, they had animated title logos, but these were scrapped in the FWGS version of Xash3D, so 🤷

They weren't. We just still don't have an crossplatform video decode.

A text seems enough, a video is nice, but if a Mod has none we are back at square 0.

What about to convert those avi files with the animated logo to a gif file?

Engine does not support gif and probably it's a bad option too. AVI may be converted to standard sprite anyway.

I created sprites out of the logo.avis for Hl, OF and BS with Sprite Explorer OF logo is not that yellow that i like to see but sprites seem limited to 8bit color palettes. Sprites HL OF BS.zip
