Can someone please fix this graphic glitch when crouching?? ghosting effect #1341

This ia ridiculous this glitch exist especially for how long this engine has existed, here's a video of it.

By the way the steam version does not do this or the retail cd-rom original release, this is specific to xash 3D.

This bug has existed for very longs because no one is bothered expect you.

Though I'm not sure if it's an engine bug or not.

This is not how the steam version acts when crouching or the original retail version i've been playing half life since 1999 lol id know and it's so annoying makes me not even wanna use xash tbh.

Build 2845 doesn't have this bug. 30-04-2023 095459

Well, I mean if you release the "crouch" key before your character fully sits, he performs something resembling a short jump. Don't know if it was like that on original engine. But this bug on video looks more like some sort of a visual flickering and it appears right after character have fully performed the animation, successfully proceeding to the "crouching" state.

Hold on, are you recording it in multiplayer? I think this is might be some sort of a synching\ping-whatever-it-called issue. Try crouching in single player and then report here. Or either try to test it on other servers.

Yep. Doesn't reproduce for me either, in multiplayer too.

@a1batross this is also reproduced by me (multiplayer only), on the latest build of the engine.

Xash3D FWGS 49/0.20 (win32-i386 build 2951)

Windows 10 Pro x64 22H2

Half-Life content was taken from the version

Protocol version 48
Exe version 1.1.2.2 (valve)
Exe build: 19:53:27 Aug  3 2020 (8684)

This effect is reproduced on servers running on both the old and the new engine.

Also I'm using the original game libraries, not from the hlsdk-portable repository.

And by "multiplayer" I mean the online servers from Internet games list, not the local/listen server hosted on the same machine.

This happens in online multiplayer games and the steam version surely doesnt do this lol, it acts like you are letting go of crouch button before you are fully crouched that's not right lol.

Hell i just got stuck in the train car ride in single player crouching around testing it, if it does it same as multiplayer lol something ISNT right with crouch in general i guess lmao literally got stuck on a seat couldnt walk or move/jump/crouch nothing.
