Yes, in steam is ok, in xash only happen and with the hit blood sprites too, anyways check if you can add an fullbright to the flame

It's just projectile, i'm not sure how i can make that on SDK side and i think It's bad idea to make kludges for opensource engine.
It can be disabled with r_sprite_lighting
set to 0.
The flame sprite no have fullbright so in some darker maps areas are darker, that only happen in xash3D cause in normal version is always fullbright like the hitbody blood sprite
