How much of a nightmare would it be for a totally green developer to try to get the Android build system configured? I may have a go at it, although I can't promise anything yet.

Android build works, it just needs refactoring/bug fixing etc., and I'm already working on that.
@AshleighTheCutie that would be a total nightmare :)
Initially the idea was that Android build would be maintained by me, so I did it in my own way. But in the end, I have no motivation to keep Android port, it's completely on @Velaron right now, who is remaking it nearly from scratch.

It really hurts for us to not make any release for goddamn four years.
But I don't like current Android port quality. It's the only serious blocker at this moment.
We can release without Android, so modders can start migrate to the new engine, while we would still work on other issues and ports.
