I agree. clinical review complete
Code list created and uploaded to the branch codesets-included-conditions as CPRD_constipation_read.csv.
Note that this condition has two code lists, one with prodcodes, and this with read codes.
After discussion at the meeting we were worried that: 1) People who had received 4 or more prescriptions for an acute episode of constipation would be classified as having a chronic constipation.
We therefore decided to adjust the code as follows: 1) 4 or more prescriptions of prodcodes in a 12 month period. 2) The length of time between the first and last prescription in the 12 month period should be >6 months. (this aligns with the definition of a chronic condition being one that lasts > 6 months).

@f-eto @finersarah I have created a list of constipation terms. Although constipation is likely to be coded by the GP at attendance, it will be hard to ascertain from the clinical codes alone whether the constipation is chronic or acute.
I therefore would suggest we: 1) Stick to defining constipation based on prod codes using the same method as the Cambridge Group. 2) Consider extracting these additional codes - however, I am not sure if they will add much to the prod codes.
