Dermatitis #47

I generally agree with their list.

Queries. @f-eto @finersarah

1) I have quite a few extra codes. I think we should include sebborheic dermatitis as it can be clinically hard to distinguish from eczema. I've also included Chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis as it seems very similar to eczema on the ear. There are also some codes for specific photosensitive dermatitis which we should include as they have included some light sensitive dermatitis codes, but not some others. Finally there are some specific contact dermatitis codes which I think we should include.

2) There is a code for Type 1 skin reaction which I think we should exclude as that is not usually a dermatitis.

3) There may be a question in the future if we should combine all skin disease (including psoriasis and other autoimmune skin diseases. But I think we should keep them separate for the moment. Is there another codelist for autoimmune skin conditions e.g. pemphigus etc. (though likely uncommon).

OK. I see there is a separate Seb Derm codelist.
I think we can combine these codes.
The National Eczema Org considers it to be a type of Eczema and I think there will be a lot of diagnostic overlap. https://nationaleczema.org/eczema/types-of-eczema/seborrheic-dermatitis/

I've reviewed the codes. Queries @finersarah @f-eto 1) Shall we combine the Seb Derm and Dermatitis Codelists. 2) I think we should remove the codes related to infantile disease. (highlighted in red on the excel file).

@Miriam-S-git @f-eto I think we should combine the lists, but let's ask Nick Reynolds who is a prof in Newcastle and dermatologist who is working on the NIHR multimorbidity sister grant. He has previously offered his advice.

I think we should have a separate list for autoimmune skin diseases.

Agree re removing the infantile disease codes

Following discussion with NR decision made to keep dermatitis and seb derm lists separate at present.
Dermatitis codelist attached. Changes as per discussion above. I will create another issue for Seb Derm.

Code list updated according to clinical revision and uploaded to the branch codesets-included-conditions.

Code for 'Skin:type 1 immediate reaction' has been removed.
