Whenever you shift select materials and press create material it works the first time. But if you do it again in the same instance without closing down s&box then it will not auto populate the new set of textures you've selected and will re-use the original selection.
Here I have selected ice_bag materials and it is automatically putting the info into the vmat.
Now if I save this and try it with the ice_cube textures it will still use the ice_bag textures (because I did that first)
As you can see, even though I selected ice_cube textures, the vmat still only uses the original textures I selected when I did it the first time.
To Reproduce
Have two sets of vmat textures ready to turn into materials
shift select one set of textures and right click create material and save
Shift select second set of textures and click create material
It will automatically re-use the original selection instead of the new selection

Vmat should automatically populate the selected materials
