Enabled volumetric fog is dropping down FPS and introduces an input lag of about 0.5 seconds.
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB GPU GPU driver version: 21.09.13.02-220802a-382934C-RadeonSoftware GPU software version: 2022.0802.1058.19750 Vulkan Driver version: 2.0.179 Vulkan API version: 1.2.170
Game version: 5/22/2024 7f32df9, Steam build 14456538 Graphics settings: 1280x720 windowed, VSync off, 2xAA, 8x anisotropic
I'm expecting a >60 FPS and no input lag on aforementioned map
It doesn't depend on a resolution, vsync, antialiasing or texture filtering settings.
I've found a console variable named r_enable_volume_fog, set it to 0 - and a relief! - my FPS is higher than 60 and no input lag:
r_enable_volume_fog
That's a 10 year old GPU, volume fog needs a major rework though
Still appreciating that this GPU is still supported in s&box tbh, thank you
same that fixed mine
