Update in Feb 2024 In case anyone checks in to see if it's still working.. The answer is YES! The blinds have been working perfectly since the installation/updated Instructable in August of 2016! 7 1/2 YEARS of continuous operation (one battery failed after about one year). So a single battery has been installed for roughly 6 1/2 years.

What finally forced me to bring it down was a failure of the servo motor. Something in it seized and it refused to move. That apparently also destroyed something in the circuit, so I have had to rebuild it. It's just the same as it was, and I'm about to install it again, hoping for another 6+ years of service!
