[Feature] Custom Statuses/Up-to-Date Status #217

A lot of series, anime, manga, games, etc have a period where they are still being actively being released and you can catch-up to the latest episode/chapter. For manga or episodic games you could be caught up with the latest release for months or years without having completed it, paused it or actively thinking about it as "in progress". An up-to-date status would be useful here.

It is feasible, but I set it to “In progress” in these cases. I am not very convinced by the idea of adding an up-to-date status as it would not make sense with many other media items. Maybe you could create a custom list to track them?

I was hoping to avoid cluttering the in-progress tracking with tens or even hundreds of entries that are "in-progress" versus one or two that are actually being played/watched/read but I can see how this wouldn't apply to movies or the majority of games and a custom list could work.

Considering it another way. Instead of trying to get this status tag universally adopted, is the ability to create custom statuses possible as a feature at some point?

I see, I will leave the issue open and consider allowing custom statuses after completing some priority features.
