would this LoRA32 work with V2.1 for the TinyGS project?

I have this board but had issues with the serial port drivers (CH9102), I fixed this with a chinese driver install. I manually entered a template and I needed to connect Lora1 (IDIO1) to a GPIO pin. I chose GPIO12 as that is the input that TTGO and Heltec use, but for some reason this damaged the board and now nothing is displayed on OLED! I have now setup a standard Heltec V2 board without issues. So I would avoid this board!

Anyway LoRa32 V2.1 1.6.1 works great!
