Unable to load Laser BASIC V1.3 from .d64 image #235

Since updating my U64 Elite to fw3.10 Core 1.41 I am unable to load Laser BASIC v1.3 from my .d64 disk image. At the point a palm tree logo is meant to be drawn, which should occur shortly after selecting Run Disk from the Ultimate menu, I just get scrolling coloured lines and have to reboot the machine. Other *.d64 images I've tried so far load without problems.

I've attached the .d64 file here: laser_basic_v1.3.zip

Issue still valid. Odd. When VICE runs this disk, it causes the drive head to bang.

This is still an issue with U64 3.10f (11D).

If you try to copy the LB 1.3 disc using a normal sector copier you get the same result trying to run the copy on vice as the U64 FW 3.10 is having. So it seems to be the copy protection that the U64 is having an issue with.

There is a cracked version of LB (link below) that loads fine on the U64 and the LB version number still shows v1.3 Looks like it removes an XOR obfuscation trick to hide the contents of LB's "title" program and removes some copy protection from that file.

Strange that the ultimate's built-in file browser is not able to display all the files correctly inside this cracked D64 version's directory. But the directory shows correctly on the U64 using C64 cmds.

I checked that copy of the original laser basic 1.3 on the g64 starts up correctly. U2+
