"/deep/ combinator is deprecated" console warning #1017

bower update didn't really work, but now I get the more specific error:

"This file is deprecated. Please use iron-flex-layout/iron-flex-layout-classes.html, and one of the specific dom-modules instead"

which is inserted directly into the code. But the darkened background happens properly! Although the front page form is now broken:

The email cannot be entered nor submit clicked although the other stuph works.

Actually weirder than that. First page popup opens on is fine. 2nd page broken. 3rd works. 4th broken. etc

And on iPhone it's in a blackened background...

Something to do with iron-flex-layout. Going to put this on the back burner since it is not a customer visible issue.
