Important notes:
I could only style the alert box when clicking on links because clicking on links has its own designated event. Therefore, this event can be exploited to have a custom popup.
The rest of the events, i.e. clicking the back/forward/refresh or closing the tab, do not have a designated event but are rather bunched up into onbeforeunload, which cannot be overridden by custom styles. Any "hack" would either 1) not work as expected or 2) not be universally accepted across all browsers because it's not officially supported.
