In the ENTD unit tables, there should be indicators for team color, position, and spawnflags (Always Present, Randomly Present).
Take Bed Desert North 4's table, for example:
It is difficult to see at a glance that:
The Red Dragon is on the Blue (player) team.
The other units are all Randomly Present.
The first 6 enemy units overlap with the last 6 enemy units. The first Dragon is in the same position as the first Human, the second Dragon with the second Human, ... It's effortful to jump back and forth between units 5 slots apart to verify that they're in the same position.
There are other possible details to add to the table, but I think those three are the ones most useful for understand the overall setup for a map, because they are with respect to other units. (AI Target is, too, but it's not very common. Maybe Unit ID should be added to the table, though.)
