no preferences #12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open application
2. click on "file" menu
3. preferences is dimmed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I assume there are some preference settings, since they were mentioned in the
"no growl
notification" thread. However, my preferences item in the drop down menu is
dimmed and the
keyboard shortcut doesn't get me any preferences either.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
V4 on a G5 20" iMac

Please provide any additional information below.

This is a great idea! Thanks!

OK, so suddenly, hours later, I get a notification that Growl needs to be
installed. I did it and I suppose this
solves my issue for now - I now have Growl preferences. Sorry about my
ignorance!

Yeah, there isn't actually a Preferences Dialog. I should remove the menu
option for that.

However, there are some preferences that Mac Live saves. These are the list of
games and friends you want to
be notified about when they come online and your email address to log in to
Xbox Live (your password is
stored in the Mac OS X Keychain, however).

As for the notification that Growl needs to be installed coming hours later,
it's supposed to automatically
install it the first time you launch Mac Live if you don't already have Growl
installed. I'm currently one point
release old on the Growl Framework I bundle, I'll try updating to the latest
one and we'll see if that helps
things.

Thanks for the heads up on this.
