Make the Approve Entries field on the front end more accessible

A user just shared important feedback about the Approve Entries field of GravityView:

We have many problems when changing the status of the entries in the frontend with "Approve Entries", many colleagues make mistakes and when they click they approve an entry, when what they wanted was to show the options. This on tablet, ipad is even worse because you have to click, it doesn't recognize when you pass the mouse over it. Is it possible to disable this view and create a checkbox, radio or select field?

Ideally, we would have regular links to these actions in the View:

In the example above, I'm using the Entry Moderation Merge Tags, but these can't be used at the moment, because they redirect the user to the Dashboard upon click.
