What You'll Do (Job Description)
Our Software Development team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on delivering and supporting an applications and services portfolio built on the Android mobile platform that supports and aligns with organizational business strategy including online mobile banking. You will spend your time:
Designing and completing mobile software enhancements with a high level proficiency of quality.
Championing the delivery of mobile software solutions in an agile way by following a sprint methodology.
First point of contact for internal/external partners for outages, support, and troubleshooting service issues, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Providing tier 3 support for all Conexus employees on technical issues and business operations (e.g., troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, or refer to third party/vendor).
Promoting and developing mobile architecture best practices, guidelines, procedures, and frameworks.
Providing mentorship and supporting other developers in their responsibilities
Collaborate with internal partners to align mobile application solutions with operational best practices.
Participating in Software Development team architecture design reviews and governance reviews.
Must Have
5+ years’ experience delivering Android solutions
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Relevant Experiences
Experience with programming for the Android operating system
Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices
Strong knowledge of Android SDK
Understand Google’s Android UI guidelines
Understanding of Google Play Store (managing, publishing, etc.)
Familiar with git version control
Familiar with unit testing and automated testing on mobile platforms
Strong skills and knowledge across all phases of development
Practicing DevOps and agile developments tools
In depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
