About Our company
DevPro is hiring! We’re a proudly-Canadian software consulting and full-stack development shop based in Regina, Saskatchewan. We design, build, and deploy custom software for our clients. From 6 employees in 2021 to nearly 50 today, we’re an energetic and fast-growing company. Our company is entirely made of developers and designers with a flat organizational structure, letting us focus on what we do best. We’re always looking for technical leaders who present new ideas, technologies, and growth opportunities to keep our company modern and competitive.
1. First-Class Mentorship: Our main focus is mentoring new developers, teaching good coding practices, and helping you gain valuable experience so we can build great things together. We love using paired-programming, group training sessions, and giving you time to explore new technologies that interest you. Our company was built by developers, for developers - including our managing partners and leadership team, over 95% of us work as full-time devs. Mentorship is the core value for us, and you’ll see this exemplified at every level of the company.
2. Team Placements: Traditional consulting firms hire you because you have X years of experience technology Y, then place you by yourself with a client. We hire based on coding and problem solving aptitude, not specific tech, and focus on training well-rounded teams of developers by giving them time to learn and grow together. Our extensive training and onboarding process means you'll likely spend 2 - 4 months learning with us before you and your team start working with a client.
3. Non-Contract Employees: When you work with us you have all the advantages that our full-time salaried employees enjoy. Our devs enjoy paid vacation and sick time, a great family benefits package, RRSP matching, paid time for developing your tech skills - just to name a few. You’ll never have to worry about irregular contract-based income with us.
Tech Stack:
While we use a wide variety of languages and tools based on the problems we solve for our clients, we have a high degree of expertise with our preferred tech stack for microservice-based app development:
Angular: We combine Angular with tools like TailwindCSS and RXJS to reduce development time between the design and implementation of responsive web apps.
Java Microservices: We use cutting edge features of modern Java and the latest tools and extensions to make Java development powerful and efficient for our devs. Using the SpringBoot framework with boilerplate-reducing technologies like Lombok, JPA, and Liquibase, we hope you’ll love our Java stack as much as we do!
Culture:
If you’d prefer to be bored at work and complain about your job, then look elsewhere! Whether we’re grabbing beers after work, taking afternoons off to golf or paintball with the company, or chatting on the company Slack, we hope you’ll love working here as much as we do.
