What You'll Do (Job Description)
We’re looking for a collaborative and innovative professional with a passion for both data and leadership to come on board as our Data Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes and architectures for data across the enterprise, aligning to business needs of both transactional and analytical data systems. You'll spend you time:
In collaboration with others on the Enterprise Architecture team, contributing to the strategy and architecture for managing the enterprise’s data.
Working with business and IT stakeholders to ensure data architectures address business and IT objectives.
Leading the design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex data systems and solutions.
Supporting and monitoring data management practices & standards across the organization.
Developing & supporting conceptual, logical and physical data models for business operations & data analytics
Creating and maintaining current and target state data architectures.
Defining and managing standards, guidelines and processes to ensure data quality.
Ensuring technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state.
Overseeing end-to-end data life cycle management activities.
Collaborating with IT teams, business teams and data analytics teams to understand data needs and develop solutions.
Must Have
10+ years’ experience in Information Technology
5 to 10+ years' experience designing, executing and supporting data architectures
Relevant Experiences
Proven ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
Excellent knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
Proven record of delivering business value from Information Technology
Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
Knowledge, Training or Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) is an asset
