What You'll Do (Job Description)
We’re seeking a motivated Community Coordinator to plan and execute the events, promotion, and showcasing that breeds innovation and collaboration for the Agtech Accelerator. This role is a key component of our mission to cultivate a global Agtech hub in Saskatchewan. If you love building relationships, helping others succeed, and coordinating high impact initiatives, we would like to hear from you. This position is physically located in Regina at the beautiful new Cultivator headquarters but will be serving founders and teams from across the country.
This role is focused on the Agtech accelerator partnership between Economic Development Regina (EDR), Cultivator, and Emmertech. The role will be hired by EDR and report to the leadership of the accelerator program via secondment.
You will spend your time:
Supporting and maintaining key relationships in the startup and Agtech ecosystem. This includes partners, operators, service providers etc. locally, nationally and internationally.
Executing internal and external high impact community events, marketing and promotion for the Agtech Accelerator including but not limited to demo days and Agtech events
In collaboration with the Community and Partners Manager, supporting and executing on partnership strategy and engagement
Supporting recruitment and attraction of Canada’s top Agtech startups
Supporting and maintaining key relationships in the Agtech ecosystem which includes investors, mentors, service providers, partners, etc. locally, nationally and internationally.
Tracking, analyzing, and effectively communicating metrics
Assisting with the execution of planning for regular events at Cultivator as well as major events across Saskatchewan and beyond
Cultivating a high-performance internal community environment both virtually and in-person
Represent the Agtech accelerator at various events and engagements
Providing administrative support to the program leadership
Being an ambassador for Cultivator and Agtech program throughout national Agtech
events and promotions
Due to the entrepreneurial nature of this role, flexible work hours are required.
Must Have
Post-Secondary education in business, technology, or related discipline
Relevant Experiences
Experience working in the tech industry or a high growth environment is an asset.
Experience in Agriculture is an asset
Strong communications and collaboration skills
Experience and/or understanding of high impact community events
Basic project management and organizational skills
