What You'll Do (Job Description)
We’re looking for a creative and skilled communicator to come on board as our Senior Business Analyst. Your ability to think strategically will play a key role in supporting the optimization of technology capability for end-users, by leading a variety of projects and key initiatives that help support our purpose of improving the financial well-being of our members and communities. You will spend your time:
Providing tier 2 and tier 3 support for all Conexus employees on technical issues and business operations
Resourcing and/or leading high complexity technology enhancements, special projects, and key initiatives
Investigate, understand and analyze organizational needs
Identifying feasible solutions and documenting recommended requests for decision-making authorities.
Collaborating with internal developers and/or vendors to support application development and implementation
Contributing to development of applicable process and procedure documentation
As subject matter expert, providing support to the Business Analyst team in their technical responsibilities
Advising on and ensuring organizational adherence to industry and government rules and regulations in enhancement and upgrading of technology
As technical subject matter expert, supporting environment roadmap process and decisions
Developing and maintaining business relationships with third party vendors
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant post-secondary education
5 to 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst preferably within a financial institution
1 year in a leadership capacity on specific project work packages (project lead, team lead or functional area lead)
Relevant Experiences
Experience in industry best practices related to IT solution design and agile
Exposure to Portfolio Management
Working knowledge of:
Requirements and functional design facilitation and documentation, including modeling tools and methods
Quality assurance functions within a project lifecycle, including the creation of test strategy, test plans from requirements and design documentation, and issue and resolution
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies
Data modeling, process and workflow analysis and other productivity tools
IT systems, architectures, and nomenclature, IT application and data functions and capabilities
Technical writing discipline
MS Office, MS Visio
Design Thinking and Agile (Scrum, Scrumban) would be an asset
Microsoft Azure DevOps or other software work management systems would be an asset
Six Sigma would be an asset
