I went to forest stage to get the stick upgrade but after the text the camera broken as shown in the screenshot and played the small item get sound.
I still got the deku stick upgrade and I regained control. Dekus are still having a party.
I'm on the Oct 01 06:56 develop build playing master quest. Settings are in the upload.

Edit: Seems like this is a issue with the Skip item pickup text time saver and the Deku stick upgrade breaking the cutscene.
