Measurement-Unit of Points #16

Hi Hesai-Team,

I found in the docs that to get the measurements in milimeters, I have to take it times 4?

Actual distance in real world millimeters = distance measurement * Distance Unit (4 mm)
(excerpt from this doc pdf-page 25 )

It sounds irritating. So I really should multiply every value I get from the scan by 4? 😅

Thx in advance

Hi BestVanRome,

That's correct, raw distance data should multiply 4 to get mm distance. Our ROS/SDK code has already done it. If you are using Pandar40P, please use the General ROSS/SDK project.

Thanks, Fred
