Drawing is laggy #7

Now that UpdateView uses the CPU efficiently, there are not many spare cycles for drawing, so drawing is laggy and annoying to use.

This seems not to be a huge problem on newer phones. We should consider doing more detailed profiling for certain situations, but for now we're fine.
