New Mecanum Wheel drive chain #166

Develop and prototype a modular chassis for new mecanum wheels.

I know we already have a prototype chassis for the omni wheels. Are we not going to reuse the chassis from the old bot for the new wheels? Or are we looking to then have three chassis intact (one on the old bot, on for omni wheel development, and one for mecanum wheel development)?

We're in the process of redoing the chassis that we worked on last week. The IR arrays are planned to be mounted on the exterior frame, and the wheels will fill in some gaps on the inside of this frame. We're planning on making a second level frame upon which we can mount other components onto, because the lower frame will be pretty busy with the motors and wheels.

Progress as of 9/27:

Half of the upper level is complete, which is where we currently envision pretty much everything else apart from the motors, IR arrays, and BBone to go (the bone and capes can fit in the central channel). Omni-wheel chassis progress at #161

Abandoned early last semester. Wheels are in the cabinet in case of future interest.
