Update for NIH Q1

We have completed our part for Q1, this is what we reported to the NIH:

Implementation: In the first quarter, SIM-Core contributed to:

Prioritization of the topic for the Python Tutorial

SIM-Core led the creation of the first integrated tutorial showcasing the SPARC Python Client. In collaboration with the other Cores, SIM-Core elaborated a coherent user story based on the prioritization of the topic for the Python Tutorial. The tutorial, led by DAT-Core, is close to being finalized jointly with the other Cores.

Y7Q2 Status update (03/01/2024): Continuously Ongoing

Implementation: After finishing the SIM-Core led integrated tutorial on the SPARC Python Client, SIM-Core provided feedback on a tutorial idea proposed by MAP-Core that involves a search tool to identify SPARC Portal datasets that are suitable for mapping. See also the associated MAP milestone

Y7Q3 Status update (05/20/2024): Continuously Ongoing

Implementation: In this quarter, we worked with DAT-Core to show-case the first two integrated SPARC Python Client tutorials with a webinar and live demonstration. On May 2nd, the webinar “Empowering Access to SPARC Infrastructure: Introducing a Cutting-Edge Python Library within an Open Development Framework” was held by Elisabetta Iavarone and Joost Wagenaar, demonstrating python library access to SPARC infrastructure (see announcement and recording). 52 people registered for the webinar, 21 attended live.
