NIH: "We'd like to keep this milestone open for reporting until the QDB is available and integrated with the API. We realize SIM-Core is not at fault for the inability to integrate with the QDB at this time."
Our reporting: Y7Q3 Status update (06/14/2024): Completed Implementation: Under #1110 and #1111 functionality for propagating variability and probability information through computational models was developed. The neural interface safety and effectivity assessment pipeline from #1116 was converted into a fully computational (automatized) one, suitable as a parameterized function for the meta-modeling framework. Application was demonstrated by sweeping over a set of cross-section images from REVA and by propagating tissue properties probability distributions through the model.
However, the necessary infrastructure and data on the QDB side to feed this process is not currently available - an issue that was repeatedly brought up and discussed extensively in the context of the SPARC PI meeting in Minneapolis. The milestone was classified as completed, despite the current lack of ability to draw data directly from the QDB, as the entire infrastructure is in place and has been tested using similar data as that expected to become available through the QDB. Once the QDB is functional and populated, it is expected to be a few days of effort to validate that the uncertainty propagation functionality can also be applied to data from the QDB.
