Project Description:

This project aims to develop a web-based clinic management system (CMS) using Python as the backend technology. The CMS will cater to the needs of healthcare professionals (doctors, technicians) and patients, streamlining clinic operations and enhancing patient experience.

Target Users:

Key Functionalities:

User Management: Role-based access control for different user types (doctor, technician, patient) Secure user login and registration

Patient Management: Request for appointment scheduling and management (online booking, cancellation, reminders). Secure storage and read access of medical history and prescriptions. Expenses review. Billing and/or insurance information.

Clinic Management:

Communication Features: Secure messaging between doctors and patients. Appointment confirmation and reminders via notification/email/SMS.

Tech Stack:

Backend: Python (Django/Flask) Database: PostgreSQL/MySQL Front-end: HTML, CSS, Javascript (optional: ReactJS, AngularJS)

1. System Architecture:

The system will consist of a user interface (web application) and a server-side backend. The frontend will be responsible for user interaction and data visualization. The Python backend will handle user authentication, database interactions, and business logic.

5. Scalability and Maintainability:

The system should be designed for scalability to accommodate future growth in users and data. Use modular and well-documented code for easier maintenance and future development.
