Isn't this the expected behavior?

The issue was if you navigate away from the exploration page and then hit back to return to the page the filter and other choices would be cleared. But ... this issue seems to be fixed in my testing.

@fedorov Which functionality do we prefer--this one (clear on back button) or #894 (keep on back button)?

I don't have a strong preference. I noticed that GDC portal traces back the history of populating the filter when browser back button is hit.
