[BUG] Music Player Overflows Screen Width on Mobile #4

Closed Klastic closed 6 months ago

Klastic commented 6 months ago

Describe the bug

When accessing the music player from mobile devices, it has been observed that the player does not properly fit the screen width, causing parts of the player's interface to overflow and become inaccessible or hidden from view. This issue compromises the usability of the music player on smaller screens.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the website using a mobile device or simulate a mobile device screen in a desktop web browser.
  2. Navigate to any section where the music player is accessible (e.g., an album page or the library).
  3. Observe the layout and accessibility of the music player controls and interface.

Expected behavior

The music player should adapt responsively to fit within the width of the screen on mobile devices, ensuring that all controls and interface elements are fully visible and accessible without the need to scroll horizontally.

Actual behavior

The music player extends beyond the width of the screen on mobile devices, causing some controls (e.g., the volume control, progress bar, or play-next button) to be cut off or hidden from view, making them inaccessible to the user.

As part of our commitment to enhancing user experience, we've implemented a short-term fix to address the current limitations of our music player on mobile devices. This adjustment ensures better functionality and usability for our users on smaller screens. We recognize, however, that a more comprehensive solution is necessary for the long term.

Looking ahead, we are exploring the development of a full-screen player design specifically tailored for mobile devices. This future update aims to provide an immersive and user-friendly listening experience, fully utilizing the screen space and interactive capabilities of modern smartphones and tablets.

We believe this direction not only aligns with our goals for continuous improvement but also addresses the evolving needs and expectations of our user base. While we work on these enhancements, we appreciate your patience and welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have regarding the music player's design and functionality.

Note:

This short-term fix is now live. We encourage you to test the updated player on your mobile devices. Stay tuned for updates on the development of the full-screen player design. We're excited about the possibilities and are committed to keeping you informed throughout the process.
