Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, updating an audio file in our system requires deleting the existing file and uploading a new one. This process is cumbersome, particularly during the draft phase of a release when files may need frequent updates.
Describe the solution you'd like
Implement a feature that allows users to directly replace an existing audio file without needing to delete it first, but only while the release is in a draft state. This would streamline the process by:
Providing an "Replace File" option in the user interface next to each audio file in draft releases.
Automatically retaining all metadata and links associated with the original file, applying them to the new file.
Disabling the replacement option once the release is published, ensuring stability of the published content.
Describe alternatives you've considered
An alternative might be to allow batch updates or re-uploads where users can manage multiple files at once; however, this doesn't directly address the ease of single file replacements during the draft phase.
Additional context
Enabling direct replacement of audio files in draft releases will:
Significantly enhance user experience by simplifying audio management during the critical editing phase.
Reduce the risk of errors associated with manual deletion and re-upload processes.
Maintain continuity in metadata and accessibility, enhancing overall system efficiency, while ensuring that published content remains stable and unchangeable.
