[BUG] Song Order Displayed Incorrectly for Old Releases #7

Closed Klastic closed 6 months ago

Describe the bug

There is an issue affecting the display order of songs for older releases within the app, noticeable in both the public view accessible by listeners and the studio view used by creators. Instead of following the original tracklist order, songs appear in a seemingly random or incorrect sequence. This disrupts the intended listening experience and content management functionalities, as the order of tracks is crucial for the narrative and flow of albums and EPs.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Public View:
    • Navigate to the app's public interface and select an old release (more than 1 year old).
    • Observe the order in which the tracks are listed compared to the expected tracklist order.
  2. Studio View:
    • Log into the studio section as a creator or admin.
    • Open the same old release for editing or review.
    • Notice the track order in the editor/viewer does not match the originally set tracklist order.

Expected behavior

Both in the public and studio views, songs within a release should be displayed in the order they were originally set during the release setup process. This order is vital for maintaining the intended album flow and ensuring coherent content management.

Actual behavior

Songs in older releases are displayed out of order, not adhering to the original tracklist sequence. This issue has been observed across multiple releases that are at least a year old, indicating a potential systemic problem affecting how song order is stored or retrieved.

Comment from SovRin:

"i wouldn't call the sorting issue, fixed, just more broken 😄 It shows two place holders, which are empty, and trying to refresh every 5 seconds but not pulling any results."
