Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, our system lacks the capability to automatically retrieve and display store links from major music platforms on the day of a release, requiring manual input which can be time-consuming and prone to errors.
Describe the solution you'd like
Implement an automated system that fetches store links from various music streaming platforms on the release day. Initially, the system should integrate with Spotify, Tidal, and Deezer. Subsequent updates should include integration with iHeartRadio [#40], Napster [#39], Amazon Music [#38], YouTube Music & Video [#36], and SoundCloud [#35]. The system should:
Automatically query these platforms for store links using their APIs.
Update the release's information in our database with the fetched links.
Display these links on the release's public pages.
Additional Platform Consideration
While we also acknowledge the importance of including Apple Music, integrating this platform incurs an annual fee of $100. Given the current usage and cost-benefit analysis, we are deferring this integration. We will continue to monitor usage and demand for Apple Music and may revisit this decision if it becomes more justified financially.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A less automated alternative would involve creating a dashboard where users can manually enter and verify links post-release, but this does not solve the problem of manual labor and potential inaccuracies.
Additional context
This feature will streamline the process of linking to music platforms, enhance user experience by providing immediate access to streaming platforms, and reduce administrative overhead. Each platform's integration will be rolled out in stages, ensuring thorough testing and stability before moving to the next.
