Communications via 'dumb' legacy SMEMA equipment is likely to be via:

SMEMA Signals
Trues/False - Yes/No - Starts/Stops via basic communications such as local Serial Ports ect
Barcode Values - from the equipment itself, or values (via the serial port) from an attached Barcode reader.

User Request

To use Basic values, such as Barcode values to update Hermes Values. For example:

An barcode that ends with a T would indicate a Top Barcode and the Hermes values of FlippedBoard would be set to Top side is up (value 1)
An barcode that ends with a B would indicate a Bottom Barcode and the Hermes values of FlippedBoard would be set to Bottom side is up (value 2)

Design

https://github.com/multiplug-hub/Multiplug.Ext.IFTTT will be used to parse out values
Work is being conducted to allow a String (Barcode) to be parsed for values and converted into separate MultiPlug Subjects.
These new Subjects can be injected into the normal MultiPlug.Ext.Hermes Barcode Scan Station Queue.
