MODBUS protocol for Danfoss ECL Comfort 110

Physical

The device has a RS-485 transceiver (SN75LBC184P), for which connections are brought out on the display/buttons daughterboard.

The connector is Wieland DST85 / 4 (Art. No. 25.002.0453.0 and 25.003.0453.0). Connectors that ship within Europe can be bought from user aviborg on eBay. The best image of the connector from Danfoss can be seen from their Danfoss Link installation video.

The main microcontroller is Renesas R5F21258SN.

There are also six 0.1" headers on the main PCB that are probably used for servicing the device (flashing firmwares, debugging, ...). It uses 3.3V logic.
